Circumcision

The custom of male circumcision is widely practiced in Africa. However not all tribes practice it. The main concern on my heart when I first wrote it was the tragedy of the botched circumcisions that are still happening. Every year boys die or are damaged. Sometimes boys are kidnapped from their families and taken to circumcision camps. Some of the dangers are infection--both general and HIV, mutilation and death.

In the tribes that practice male circumcision a male can not be considered a man if he has not been circumcised. The age it is performed varies by tribe.

There are three dramas about male circumcision that I will post in their order. Then I will post the one on female circumcision.
