CHRISTMAS--Part 1

This was written with several objectives. First of all, to teach outsiders what Christians believe. And secondly to correct Christians in their misbeliefs.

Part one deals more with the second objective. Father tells Grandfather that there are errors in the Christian traditions. Grandfather is very aware that this family believes there are things wrong in the African traditional beliefs. He is surprised to hear Father say that there are errors in accepted Christian belief. As Father says, “Traditions are man made.” That assumes they could be wrong.

The first tradition discussed is about angels. How many Christmas programs have sweet lovely girls as the angels? That is so wrong. Angels were fearsome. The first words they usually said were, “Don’t be afraid!” That’s because the ones being addressed were terrified.

The second tradition is the date for Christmas. Actually even with two parts, I could not begin to address all the errors in the practice of Christmas.

CHRISTMAS Part 2 deals with beliefs of those outside the faith.
