PEACE BOOTS

At this stage the family is really enjoying this passage from Ephesians 6. All are contributing to the discussion, except perhaps the youngest, Hannah. As each piece of equipment is added to John's wardrobe, they are figuring out what it's function is.
That an article of armor for fighting would incorporate peace sounds like an oxymoron. Fighting and peace seem like they couldn't coexist. But as Father points out we are often focussing on the wrong thing as an enemy. Our enemy is not flesh and blood--in other words, not people. We are to be at peace with people. And when we aren't, we give the devil--our real enemy--a foothold.
I have this in French for your listening pleasure.
