HOMOSEXUALITY--Part 2

The discussion has established with the family that homosexuals are human. As I said in the previous blog, that homosexuals are human is the critical point.

I have had several Africans express surprise that there are African tribes that have homosexuals who function in their society. I learned this through research, but only was able to speak to one individual whose tribe believes the homosexual can be a communication link between the living and the dead.

So the family starts to look at what the Bible does say about homosexuality. The parents take the children through the first of several passages. A sub-theme in this drama (and other dramas) is to look at the verses in context and see what they actually say, not what you personally want them to say.

They discover that several supposedly lesser sins are categorized right along there with homosexuality. God does not seem to distinguish between them. Did no one explain that to Him? This makes them uncomfortable.

The family discusses the verse that speaks about giving one's seed to Molech. (Leviticus 20: 1-5) The practice of human sacrifice is still happening in Africa. It is sometimes called ritual sacrifice or ritual killing. Albinos are sacrificed. Often a child or young person is sacrificed. This is happening all over. It is usually hushed up. The reason there is no exposure is because the sacrifice is to gain power--so it is dangerous to expose the perpetrator as he/she is spiritually powerful.
